About the writer

I’m a pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, ordained in 1971. Until recently I served Holmen Lutheran Church near La Crosse, Wisconsin, a great setting along the bluffs of the Mississippi River. Since the first years of my ministry baptism has fascinated me, and my study of Dietrich Bonhoeffer fanned it to a passion in my soul.  My book on baptismal spirituality, Water for Your Soul, is published by Infinity Publishing.
